Eya Toumi obtains a research grant from ECCO - European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation

At the 21st ECCO (European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation) Congress in Stockholm, Eya Toumi and 14 other researchers were recognized for the quality of their research projects.

Eya Toumi received €80,000 in research funding to support her research project, established with the support and collaboration of Prof. David Skurnik and Prof. Harry Sokol.

The project aims to better understand the genetic mechanisms of bacteria involved in Crohn's disease. This funding will enable multi-omics studies to be established to validate new therapeutic targets in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
