INEM at Kidney Week 2025

Kidney Week 2025, the annual meeting of the American Society of Nephrology (ASN), was held in Houston (Texas, USA) from November 6 to 9, 2025. This event gathers each year several thousand researchers, clinicians, and young scientists from around the world to share major advances in nephrology research and clinical practice.

INEM was represented by Jennifer Lake, postdoctoral researcher, and Corentin Ramaugé Parra, PhD student, both members of the Terzi team - Mechanisms and Therapeutic Strategies in Chronic Kidney Disease. Their participation was made possible by their selection in highly competitive programs providing scientific mentorship, research funding, and free congress registration.

Jennifer Lake was selected for the Karen L. Campbell, PhD, Travel Support Program for Fellows, aimed at postdoctoral researchers engaged in kidney research. This program provided her with a $1,500 grant, free Kidney Week registration, and a mentorship role for the students in the Kidney STARS program. She also presented a scientific poster entitled: “Lipocalin-2 Is Induced by Uromodulin Aggregates but Does Not Affect Kidney Disease Progression in UMOD-Related Autosomal Dominant Tubulointerstitial Kidney Disease.”

Corentin Ramaugé Parra participated in the Kidney STARS Program, supported by ASN and Vertex Pharmaceuticals. This highly selective program offers a $1,500 grant, free congress registration, and personalized scientific support throughout the week. It aims to stimulate interest in nephrology among students and early-career researchers through dedicated workshops. This experience provided the opportunity to engage with renowned researchers and to discover the latest advances in the field.

Congratulations to them both!
