OrganoTech Hub: a new platform dedicated to the development of next-generation cellular models
The Necker-Enfants malades Institute (INEM) and the Imagine Institute are joining forces to develop OrganoTech Hub, From Cells to Cure, a cutting-edge technology platform dedicated to the development of next-generation cellular models. The aim is to advance and accelerate the discovery of new therapies for patients suffering from complex diseases.
The OrganoTech Hub project is supported by Tikehau Capital through a €4 million grant over five years, divided equally between the Imagine Institute and the INEM via the Foundation for Medical Research, acting on behalf of the Necker-Enfants Malades Research Foundation. This platform also receives support from the French government via France 2030 and the Île-de-France region.
Primarily based at the Imagine Institute, with a microfluidics component developed at INEM, this project centres on the creation of a platform for the production, characterisation and provision of advanced cellular models that faithfully replicate the development and functioning of human tissues. These models will provide a particularly relevant research environment for studying the interactions between genes and drugs.
