Cho-E Choi is a Postdoc researcher working at the interface of biomaterials, mechanobiology, and developmental biology. She completed her PhD in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering in Canada, where she developed nanocomposite hydrogels and metal–organic framework (MOF)–based biomaterials to promote bone regeneration. Her research combines biomaterials engineering with molecular and cellular biology to investigate how microenvironmental cues regulate cell behavior and tissue formation.

Currently, she studies intestinal organoid models to understand how mechanical signals and the microenvironment control stem cell niche formation and crypt patterning during gut development. Her work aims to reveal how physical and biochemical cues coordinate tissue architecture and stem cell function during development and regeneration.
