Nina Gruetzmacher awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship

We are proud to announce that Nina Gruetzmacher, postdoctoral researcher in the Cell Growth by Nutrients Lab - Mario Pende, has been awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA 2024) under the Horizon Europe programme.

This prestigious 24-month fellowship supports high-potential researchers and fosters excellence in science. Nina’s project, titled:
“Inhibition of the potassium channel TREK1 by mTOR: a mechanism for aberrant neuronal excitability in mTORopathies”, aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying mTORopathies, in particular epileptogenesis in Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC).

We warmly congratulate Nina and look forward to following the development of her research at INEM.
