Helen McNeill

Soumis par com_inem le

Helen McNeill obtained her PhD at Stanford University with James Nelson, studying how epithelial cell polarity is established, using cultured mammalian cells. She conducted her postdoctoral studies with Mike Simon (also at Stanford), using Drosophila genetics to investigate how tissues become organized, via planar cell polarity signaling. She set up her first lab at Cancer Research UK in London England, where her lab studied Fat cadherins in flies and regulation of growth via the Hippo pathway and planar polarity.

Clément Cochain received his PhD from Université Paris 7 in 2011. His doctorate work was performed in the Paris Cardiovascular Research Center under the supervision of J-S Silvestre, and focused on the role of chemokines and their receptors in the initiation and resolution of inflammation during tissue repair after ischemic injury. In 2012, he moved to the lab of Prof. Alma Zernecke (Würzburg, Germany) where he worked on the immune pathogenesis of atherosclerosis, with projects investigating various aspects of the adaptive and innate immune response in vascular inflammation.
