Juliane Da Graça awarded the 2025 Beth Levine Thesis Prize

We are pleased to share that Juliane Da Graça, former PhD student at INEM under the supervision of Etienne Morel, has been awarded the prestigious 2025 Beth Levine Thesis Prize, which recognizes outstanding doctoral research in the field of autophagy.

During her PhD, Juliane investigated the role of contact sites between the endoplasmic reticulum and endosomes in the regulation of autophagy. Her work helped to elucidate how these membrane structures organize to create intracellular environments conducive to autophagosome formation, bringing new insights into the spatial regulation of autophagy and its implications for cancer cell adaptation.

Congratulations to Juliane on this well-deserved recognition!
