Seminar topic: Study of ribosome structure for the development of drugs 

After completing my Ph.D. at Institute of Protein Research, Pushchino, Moscow region, in 1986 with Prof Alex Spirin, I continued to work in the same Institute as independent researcher and later as group leader until 1995. During 1996-2000 I continue our project in collaboration with Harry Noller in California University in Santa Cruz. From 2001 I am working in Strasbourg in IBMC and later in IGBMC as group leader. I have been awarded Distinguished grants: Human Frontier Science Program and European Research Council (ERC) advance grant. Newcomb-Cleveland Prize for being an outstanding contribution to science, American Association for the Advancement of Science, Grand Prix Emile Jungfleisch of French Academy of Sciences, Gregori Aminoff Prize of Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Silver Medal, CNRS. I am member of EMBO, member of Academia Europaea, Honored Professor of Kazan Federal University and Member of French Academy of Sciences.
