Marc Prentki was trained in biochemistry at the University of Geneva. He is currently professor of nutrition at the Université de Montréal and held a Canada Research Chair in Diabetes and Metabolism. Marc was an assistant professor working on diabetes and beta-cell function at the University of Pennsylvania and at the University of Geneva. He currently heads the Montreal Diabetes Research Center.
