Peter van Endert, head of the INEM department of immunology, microbiology & hematology, has been appointed Visiting Professor for an initial period of 2 years at the Berlin Institute of Health (BIH), a research institute founded by the Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin and the Max Delbrück Centre (MDC). BIH Visiting Professors are leading scientists in their field of the life and medical sciences who come to Berlin for temporary activities at BIH and its partners, Charité and MDC. Their work stays are not designed to conduct a specific research project but to advance a recent or to develop a completely new research program through cooperation between the BIH host, the Visiting Professor, and possibly further partners, or to help the BIH host by mentoring for a single junior scientist.
